The DCD-1600NE's disc drive design features a high-class Suppress Vibration Hybrid loader with new, compact circuitry. Signal paths are shortened and circuits are miniaturized to suppress jitter caused by unnecessary control and current consumption.

The DCD-1600NE features both optical and digital coaxial outputs to accommodate the most typical external music sources. Its circuit patterns are thoughtfully engineered to make signal paths as short as possible to minimize interference between circuits and left and right channels, and to reduce adverse influences on audio signals.
