Audio-Technica AT-DAC100 Digital to Analog Converter

A PCM 768-32, DSD 22.4 DAC matched especially to vacuum tube preamps.

This compact desktop DAC, which can be placed both horizontally and vertically, uses the AKM AK4452VN DAC chip offers a high signal-to-noise ratio and low distortion. Also, the AT-DAC100 is tuned for tueb preamps by suppressing high-frequency noise output, notably some switching and filters, making the unit ideally suited to the AT-BHA100 balanced headphone amplifier. 

The low pass filter uses the audio-grade LME49860 operational amplifier from Texas Instruments for low distortion and superior attack performance. Once paired with the AT-BHA100 headphone amplifier, some great Audio Technica headphone pairings are the ATH-ADX5000, ATH-MSR7b, and the ATH-AW Series.

This versatile DAC has USB-C, USB-B, optical, and coaxial inputs, with sampling rates going up to 768 kHz, 32-bit for PCM, and 22.4 MHz for DSD. The coax and optical inputs are limited to 195 kHz, 24 bit.

The DAC ships with a high-quality external Analog Devices power supply. Key components include audio-grade Nichicon chemical capacitors, and WIMA film capacitors.
